Designed light first, with a soft purple wash rising through the upper edge and Satoshi set throughout. It is the most corporate footer here in the good sense: four tidy link columns, a labelled social strip rather than a row of bare glyphs, and a clean bottom bar for the legal line. A dark treatment exists and follows the site theme, but the light state is the one it was drawn for.

The newsletter field at the top is the part to think about. It earns its place when you actually publish on a schedule and turns into a promise you are visibly not keeping when the last issue was eight months ago. Delete it in that case; the layout closes up without it. The gradient behind everything is CSS, so none of this costs a frame.
